I started getting the body straight.
Here I about
have the body close enough for some epoxy and 2k primer.
Put the deck lid on trial fit.
It looks like a lot of filler but don't worry it is only enough to get
the panels straight.
I have had to wipe entire panels to get them to block flat.

This is why I change the subframe bushings.

Here is a good pic of the area where the qtr panel and tail panel
meet,
notice all the seam sealer GM used.

Next up paper, tape and primer.
Here is a pic of the hood
Jeff bought, as you can see
someone had it outside and stored with the end of the hood on the
ground,
which caused some rust issues which I had to fix.
Both corners has about a 1/2 inch missing, welded up smoothed and
finished with a little filler.

Here is one of 2 reasons the 2nd gen hood get a bend in them,
this is the weak spot in the hood, a lot of the ones I see are cracked
in this area.
I simply weld this area. the other reason is a bent or bad hood hinge.
Here is what it looks
like in 2k primer, been blocking a little bit.
The car has been blocked one time, this is the car in the 2nd two coats
of 2k primer.
Now gets blocked with 400 grit. It is real close to being ready for
paint.
Been sanding on the hood and the wheel flares. Color will be put on the
bolt on parts next week.
Got the 5 spokes to the blaster today. Nothing exciting just a lot of
sanding.
